LAKE WALES, Fla. – September 25, 2025 — Warner Women's Soccer returned to Royals Soccer Field on Thursday evening for a non-conference showdown with Bellevue University, falling 6–2 despite a strong offensive showing and multiple individual milestones.
The Royals found the back of the net in both halves, beginning with Shelby Cape, who recorded her first collegiate goal to put Warner on the board. Cape was active in the attack throughout the match, finishing with three shots and one on goal. Gianna Bellomo added Warner's second score of the night, converting her lone shot attempt to keep the Royals within reach during the early stages of the contest.
Warner generated quality chances across the pitch, with Lillian Dodge also contributing three shots as the Royals pushed forward in search of momentum.
In goal, Gabriella Gaitan anchored the defensive effort, facing a heavy offensive output from the Bruins. Gaitan tallied six saves while defending against 14 shots on frame.
Despite the final scoreline, Warner continued to show growth in the attack and resilience against a high-pressure opponent. The Royals will turn their attention back to SUN Conference play as they prepare for their next contest against the Banyans of New College of Florida.
