SARASOTA, Fla. – September 27, 2025 — Warner Women's Soccer kicked off SUN Conference action on Saturday with a road matchup at New College of Florida, falling 2–0 in a competitive contest that featured a balanced defensive effort and steady pressure in the attacking third.
The Royals generated multiple looks at goal throughout the afternoon, led by Miya Sikhakhane, who tallied two shots to pace the offense. Warner saw additional contributions from Hannah Kenney, Hailey Kelly, Jaclyn Malagies, Morgan Sullivan, Elisabet Rosario, and Shelby Cape, each recording a shot as the Royals worked to break through the Seahawk back line. Both Sullivan and Rosario placed their attempts on target, forcing the NCF keeper into action.
Defensively, Warner held strong in key moments, anchored by starting goalkeeper Inna Vannula. Vannula recorded two saves while facing seven shots on frame, helping keep the Royals within striking distance throughout the match.
Despite Warner's continued push forward and disciplined defensive shape, the Banyans capitalized on their chances to secure the conference-opening win.
The Royals now look ahead to their next SUN matchup against SCAD-Savannah as they continue their conference slate.
