LAKE WALES, Fla. - The Royals kicked off their SUN Conference Series with Florida Memorial University with a dominant 10-to-3 win on Tuesday afternoon. Despite surrendering a run in the top of the 1st, the Royals spent no time getting runs in of their own getting the tying run across the plate in the bottom of the 1st. The Royals played small ball in the first Inning starting with
Diana Martin single, Warner was able to move Martin to 3rd on a sacrifice bunt and fly out to give Martin the opportunity to take advantage of a passed ball to score the Royals 1st run of the game. The Royals bats came alive in the 2nd scoring 4 runs and sending 8 different batters to the plate in the Inning.
Abby Faircloth drove in
Grace Derstine and
Lauren Fernald to give the Royals their first lead of the game before Faircloth was sent home on an RBI infield single off the bat of

The Royals continued to score over the next 3 Innings, starting with
Meagan Bruns successfully scoring on a passed ball in the bottom of the 3rd.
Alisha Wagoner tacked on 3 more runs for the Royals when she hit a 2 RBI triple before her aggressive base running forced a throwing error that allowed her to score. Wagoner's triple scored both Dominguez and
Autumn Calcagno to give the Royals a 9-to-3 run entering the 5th Inning. Warner's 10th and final run came in the 5th Inning when Faircloth drove in Fernald with a RBI double into left-center field.
