RECAP: Royals Rally Together in Resilient Effort Against Barry University

Miami Shores, Fla. — The Warner University men's volleyball team battled on the road Tuesday evening, falling in straight sets to Barry University (25-21, 25-17, 25-17), but not without strong individual performances and competitive stretches throughout the match.

Warner was led offensively by Caleb Welling, who tallied a team-high 11 kills, while Romone Rudolph added seven kills to support the attack. At the service line, Darion Graham paced the Royals with two aces, with Rudolph and Meric Akovali contributing one ace each.

Setting the tone offensively, Meric Akovali dished out a match-high 24 assists, orchestrating Warner's attack throughout the contest. Defensively, Kj Harrison led the back row with seven digs, followed by Welling with five digs.

As a team, the Royals recorded 33 kills, four service aces, and eight blocks, while totaling 28 assists and 21 digs in the match, finishing with 41.5 points.

Despite the final result, Warner's balanced offensive attack and defensive persistence highlighted continued growth as the team prepares for a pivotal conference weekend.

The Royals now turn their focus to Appalachian Athletic Conference play, traveling to Babson Park, Fla. for an AAC Pod hosted by Webber International University. Warner will face Bluefield University and Carolina University on April 3–4.
