For the past 35 years Coach Davila has been coaching volleyball at various levels of the game. Volleyball is one of Coach Davila’s life passions. His extended career path reflects that passion.
The 2026 campaign will set Coach Davila’s 5th season at the helm of the Warner U Men’s Volleyball program. Davila has accumulated a 45-56 (.446) record during his 4 years as head coach of Warner U. In that time, he led the Royals to an AAC Conference Championship in the 2023 season, while finishing with a program best mark of 16-7.
Davila’s WU student-athletes have earned 1 AAC Conference Player of the Year, 6 All ACC Conference Players, 8 ACC Players of the Week and 1 AVCA NAIA All-American honors. Coach Davila himself was named the 2023 AAC Men’s Volleyball Coach of the Year. Davila has also guided our Royals to 2 AAC Tournament Semifinals or better matches. Proudly, 4 Royals have been awarded the AAC All Team Academic Award and 11 Royals have been awarded with NAIA’s Champions of Character Award. Under his command, on two different occasions, our Royals have been voted as part of AVCA NAIA Top 20 Poll National Rankings.
In addition to his coaching duties, he now carries the role of AAC Conference Men’s Volleyball primary rater, NAIA men’s volleyball national rater and NCCAA Regional Chair for Men’s Volleyball.
Prior to his appointment with the Royals, Davila spent 11 seasons as Head Coach at Celebration High School. Among the high school programs he has led are Saint Francis HS, Bishop Moore Catholic School, Winter Park HS and most recently Celebration HS. He holds two high school state titles, three runners up titles, two final four appearances, seven regional championships and eight district championships. Coach Davila has received two Orange County Volleyball Coach of the Year awards and two Osceola County Volleyball Coach of the Year awards.

At the collegiate level, Coach Davila coached for six seasons as head coach of the University of Puerto Rico, Carolina Campus Men’s program leading them to two conference championships and DIII national tournament appearances.
At the professional level, he coached five seasons in the Superior Professional League in Puerto Rico and two seasons in the Super Professional League in Spain.
At the international level, Coach Davila coached Puerto Rico Men’s Junior National Team for one Olympic cycle leading them to a silver medal at the NORCECA Junior International Championships. Presently Coach Davila serves as part of the USA Volleyball HP Junior National Program coaching staff. He has led the USA Volleyball Junior delegation to two medals in the HP International Tournament, one gold, one silver. He is a USA Volleyball Association CAP III level volleyball instructor and International Volleyball Federation, FIVB II level volleyball instructor.
At club level, Coach Davila serves as technical director for Toreros Volleyball Academy. He holds three USA Volleyball Junior National Championships titles, one runner up title and one third place title. In addition, he holds two AAU Junior National Championship titles. He served as a Junior Administrative Representative for the Florida Region of USA Volleyball.
Coach Davila was introduced to volleyball at an early age. As a volleyball player, his journey began in primary school finalizing with four years of playing in college, Interamerican University. In college, he lettered four years in two sports; volleyball and tennis. Following his passion for sports and coaching, in 1989 held his first volleyball varsity head coach position for his high school alma mater. From that point on his coaching path has guided him to instruct and coach at all levels of the game.
Coach Davila is a retired US Army Military Intelligence Officer. He's been married to Belinda Davila for 27 years and they have three children; Tristan, Imanol and Evaisabel.
