Royals Big Second Half Proves Too Much For Bruins

Box Score LAKE WALES, Fla.- The women's basketball team started their Lady Royal Classic off on Friday afternoon against Bob Jones University Bruins. The first half was something to be forgotten for the Royals as they would trail the Bruins 29-20 at the break. There was a lot ofmistakes made on the Warner side of the ball and nothing seemd to go the way of the Royals the entire half. However, the Royals would find themselves at halftime and come out in the third quarter with a new fire that the Bruins had a tough time trying to match. The Royals would outscore their opponent 15-9 in the third quarter and 28-10 in the fourth to shoot nearly 5-% from the field in the second half and  outscore the Bruins 43-19 to roll to a 63-48 win to open the Classic. 

The Royals were led by I'munique Green and Kaley Schmick who both had 17 points in the game. Cierra Wilson and Sara Poehlman oth had 4 assists on the day while the Royals would come away with 13 steals in the game. 

Warner will be back in action tomorrow at 4 pm to play in the final game of the Lady Royal Classic against #17 Eastern Oregon University.
