Royals Downed By Seahawks

Box Score WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Royals women's basketball team traveled down to West Palm Beach on Thursday night to take on the Keiser Seahawks in a Sun Conference match-up. The trip did not go as planned for the Royals as they walked away with a 59-47 loss. The first and third quarters for the Seahawks is what led them to victory over the Royals. The Seahawks outscored the Royals 16-5 in the first quarter and shot 43% from the three point line to take a 25-20 lead into halftime. The Seahawks would then pull away for good in the third quarter as they outscored the Royals 17-9 and shot 42% from the field in the second half to come away with the 59-47 win. The Royals only shot 23% from the three point line in the game while only going 1-10 in the second half from beyond the arc. With the loss, the Royals fell to 7-10 (2-4) on the season. Warner was led by Cierra Wilson who had 13 points along with Charisa Broadway and Kaley Schmick who had 10 points apiece. The Royals will be back in action Saturday January 14 at Florida Memorial. Game time is at 2 pm.
