Box Score MIAMI, Fla.- The Royals women's basketball team visited the Florida Memorial Lions Saturday afternoon in a Sun Conference matchup. The Royals fell victim to a big second half by the Lions in a 60-50 loss. The Lions and Royals were all tied up at 21-21 after the first quarter. The second quarter was not full of offense as the Royals only managed eight points, but held the Lions to only six to take a 29-27 lead into halftime. The third quarter was not kind to the Royals as they were only able to score nine points and were held scoreless the final 7:17 of the quarter. The Lions were able to take a commanding 47-38 lead into the fourth. Although the Royals kept up with the Lions in the fourth quarter, it was not enough for a comeback and the Royals fell 60-50. The loss saw the Royals fall to 7-11 (2-5) on the season. Warner was led in the game by
Alana St. Clair with 12 points, while
Kaley Schmick added 10 points. The Royals will be back home January 19 as they take on Southeastern University at 7 pm.
