Box Score LAKE WALES, Fla.- The Warner women's basketball team hosted #8 ranked Southeastern Fire Thursday night. A huge second quarter by the Fire gave them an edge over the Royals and ran away with a conference victory, 65-36. The Royals were only down six points at the end of the first quarter, but the Fire came out in the second and outscored the Royals 24-6 to take a huge 42-18 lead into halftime. The Royals were able to keep pace with the Fire in the second half, but the deficit was too much for the Royals to overcome.
Alana St. Clair had a big second half as she scored 11 of her 15 points in the final two quarters. She also led the Royals with 7 rebounds in the game while
Cierra Wilson and
Kayla Guerrero added 5 points each. The Royals fall to 7-12 (2-6) on the season. Warner will look to get back ontrack this Saturday as they will take on Trinity College at the TAC at 4 pm.
