Warner came into the tournament as the #2 seed after winning The Sun Conference championship. Valentine would not need the insurance runs however, as she only allowed one baserunner after the fourth inning and would complete the game going 7 innings, giving up 3 hits, 1 unearned run, and striking out 7.
