The Royals struck again in the sixth with another run when Paige Davis scored on a bases loaded walk by Torey Scott to cut the lead in half, 4-2. As the Royals headed to the bottom of the seventh needing two runs to extend their season, they turned to the middle of their order to get things going. With runners on first and second, Kori Peterson hit a single to right, but pinch runner, Isabella Borges, was thrown out at home for the second out of the inning. The Royals would not be able to push across the tying run to fall 4-3 to Southern Oregon and end their season. Warner finished with a record of 29-15. The Royals won the conference regular season and tournament championships, went on to win the Lawrenceville opening round bracket, and would go 1-2 in the NAIA World Series to earn the most successful post season run in Warner softball history.
