Warner University Sports Hall of Fame
CHARTER MEMBER
The 1977-78 Warner men’s soccer team holds the distinction of being the first undefeated team in school history. Led by head coach Bill Rigel, the Royals finished the season with a 9-0-1 record. During the milestone season, the Royals totaled 46 goals while allowing just 12 en route to the Florida Christian College Conference Championship. The Royals scored at least five goals six times including a season-high eight goals versus Florida Baptist.
Team members were: Henry Solomon, Leroy Simmons, Tony Weiger, Larry Bashaw, Art Clawson, Leroy Quashie, Tony Nivens, Danny Neeves, Kent Adcock, Mike Dingess, Bob Kochanowski, Randy Baker, Mark Hudgens, Larry Patterson, John Mathias along with manager Emmitt Thrower.
Henry Solomon, Tony Weiger, Larry Bashaw, Danny Neeves and Randy Baker were selected as All-Conference honorees as well.
