Rev. Michael Hodges came to Warner as a freshman and immediately became involved in athletics while pursuing his degree in Pastoral Ministry. Hodges was a three-sport athlete competing on the first soccer and basketball teams in school history while also playing intercollegiate softball prior to the establishment of the Royals baseball program.

Upon graduation in 1975, Hodges became heavily involved in the Warner community, helping establish the baseball program in 1976, then serving as the Director of Admissions from 1975-1979 and Student Activities Director from 1979-1981. As a recruiter for Warner, Hodges recruited many of the student-athletes that played on various teams in the late 70s and early 80s helping establish the tradition of Warner athletics that the University still experiences to this day.

Hodges left Warner in 1981 to accept a call to ministry as Associate Pastor at Tanner St. Church of God in Sikeston, Missouri. In April 1983, he became ordained as a Church of God minister. In the time since, he has served in congregations across the country serving the Lord faithfully.

In 2009, Hodges became the lead pastor for West Side Church of God in Glendale, Arizona, a position he still carries today.

Hodges is still involved in athletics serving as an official for basketball and softball in the Arizona Interscholastic Association.

He and his wife, Pamela, have been married for 38 years and have three children; Kerry, Brent and Shannon, along with eight grandchildren.
