Warner University Sports Hall of Fame
Reverend Danny Robinson was a three year letterman for the Warner men’s soccer team from
1983-85. In 1983 and 1984, Rev. Robinson was awarded the National Christian College Athletics Association (NCCAA) scoring title for goals in a season. Also in 1984, he was named to the NCCAA District 5 Team along with the Florida Christian College Conference (FCCC) All-Conference team. He shared Most Valuable Player honors the same year in the FCCC.
Prior to that in 1983, Rev. Robinson helped lead the Royals to a FCCC Championship, their first since the 1977-78 season, and a NCCAA national ranking of 12th; the Royals were ranked as high as 7th during the regular season.
Upon his graduation, Rev. Robinson held multiple scoring records including goals scored in a career and most goals in a game.
Outside of the Warner community, Rev. Robinson was born and raised in the island of Bermuda where, as a teenager, he represented his country on the Bermuda National Soccer Team.
He graduated from Warner in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministries. In June of 1990, Rev. Robinson received his Master of Divinity degree in Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, Calif.
On March 20, 1994, Reverend Robinson was installed as the Senior Pastor of the Wadsworth Avenue Church of God. He recently served on the Board of directors of the Southern California School of Ministry, the Higher Christian Education Commission of the Southern Association of
the Churches of God, the Preaching Clinic Committee of the Southern Association of the Churches of God, as well as vice chairman of the Ministerial Conference Committee of the Southern Association of the Churches of God.
