Travis graduated from Warner University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sport Management and in 2006 with a Master of Business Administration.

Travis began his playing career at the University of South Dakota. While there, the team won three straight North Central Conference Championships and compiled a record of 67-18. After the season finished in 2001, Travis decided to transfer to Warner University.

While at Warner, he helped lead the Runnin’ Royals to an Elite Eight and Final Four appearance in consecutive seasons (’02 & ’03) with a school record of 30 wins in 2003.

During his first season with Warner, Travis was named the 2001-02 Florida Sun Conference New Comer of the Year and was a 1st Team Florida Sun Conference recipient, and Team MVP. He led the nation in assists and was top 5 in steals, ultimately leading to his recognition as an NAIA All-American Honorable Mention recipient.

After his 2002-03 season, Travis was awarded a 1st Team Florida Sun Conference and 2nd Team NAIA All-American spot. Once again he led the nation in assists.

His career records at Warner include, Assists in a Season (328), Assist Average per Game in a Season (9.9), Steals per Season (110), Steals per Game in a Season (3.3), Assists in a Career (655) which was accomplished in only two years, Career Assist Average (9.6), Career Steals per Game (3.2) and Assists in a Game (17).

Travis is a part of 19 Warner Basketball Team records that are still held today. During the five years Travis played college basketball, the teams he was associated with had a record of 142-33.

Travis is currently the Lead Dean of Students and Assistant Athletic Director at Gateway High School in Kissimmee, Florida. He also is the Boys Varsity Assistant Basketball Coach, as well as a Track & Field and Cross Country Coach.

Travis resides in Saint Cloud, FL with his wife Jillian, and two amazing daughters, Kinzie (6) and Karadin (4). He is very thankful for his family, especially his Father (Bill) and his Mother (Teresa) and two brothers Bill and Joey.
